I was asked last week to write this piece for The Times’ series on writing/writers & dreaming. Very nice to bring the two together, and specifically as a theme for this year’s Cheltenham Literary Festival.

Just two subbed-in confusions : that’s 12 novels not 126!! and I didn’t say ‘a very high concept’ that doesn’t make much sense, I did, of course, say ‘very high concept’, which makes far more sense in the sentence. Hey ho, still, only 2 nonsensical changes in 600 words. Someone up there must like me.
