I’ve never seen this before, but following Bidisha’s blog post and Lyn Gardner’s mention of the #womenonstage thing, this came up on my twitter feed via Jane Harris via David Hebblethwaite. It made me cry. And angry I’d never seen it before. And sure I’d heard it all so many times before.
And on people, and ON we go …
I’m ordering the book now.
Interestingly, that some of the comments on the book cover above are being trotted out for the 50 shades of Grey trilogy. Though whether it is art or some else, is up for discussion.
I’m off to look for a copy too.

I hope you like it! It sits on my shelf next to Tilly Olsen’s Silences. I go back and back to them. Until recently, when I gave it away (try to keep only about a dozen books at a time) I also had JR’s What Are We Fighting For?: Sex, Race, Class, and the Future of Feminism (1997) which is not exactly a followup but continues the conversation. 🙂
