Keen readers of this blog will have noticed that there is a new element in the menu along the top – Yoga.

As I approach the end of my 200 hour teacher training (very much the beginning of training as far as I’m concerned), I’m now ready to begin to share what I’ve learned.

In running writing workshops – for Arvon, for will-be writers, for experienced writers, for short story writers and for theatre devisers – I have always taught writing as a physical activity, often bringing my yoga practice to the work. I chose to train more formally because I want to be sure that I’m teaching safely and also because I feel there is a lot more I can do by bringing both disciplines together.

I’m also very aware that yoga helped my recovery from both experiences of breast cancer – emotional and psychological recovery as well as physical.

I have a pretty full timeline in the next couple of months, but I expect to make more time for sharing yoga in the near future – read more here and get in touch if you think it might be useful for you.
